Narrative
A ranching family in Montana must defend themselves against invaders who want to take over their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo expert. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and goes back to his normal Southern California voice. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows You Didn’t Know About (2018). This is the kind of show where cowboy/western life meets urban mafia life. The cast is good, the first two episodes are well-written, and you’ll want more after each episode. Not to mention, the scenery in Montana and Utah is beautiful. The Duttons remind me of the Ewings from the ’70s drama Dallas. In short, Yellowstone is Dallas meets The Sopranos.
