The first known building that Daryl’s caravan passes is known as the Panthéon
Narrative
Daryl’s journey through a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find his way back home.. Its original purpose was a church, until the French Revolution when it was turned into a mausoleum to commemorate the French national heroes. Although the series takes place more than a decade after the apocalypse, it seems that there is no end to the sonic petroleum.
Featured in Garch the Great: Remake It!
Characters readily drive cars and trucks in the series, although gasoline will become compromised as it ages, usually within a year. Furthermore, as gasoline breaks down, it becomes rubbery and also compromises engine components. So starting motor vehicles for over ten years in a zombie apocalypse doesn’t happen..
Do it again!
Sequel, Previous & Restart! (2023). First, try to ignore the reviews that focus on all the other TWD properties and people who are very hurt by this showrunner or that story arc (what is it with this website and what kind of biased reviews is allowed and skews the ratings?!) and please watch this show for what it is – if you like horror/sci-fi/fantasy with a human edge, you won’t be disappointed.
The setting and cast in one episode looks mostly good, interesting and engaging
Daryl Dixon, a character written exclusively for and perfectly developed for the medium of TWD TV, ended up in post-apocalyptic France. Suspend your disbelief as he floats into Marsielle on an upturned boat, after all this is a show where the dead walk around wanting to eat people soooooo, you know… people with some decent acting skills inhabiting a world far enough away from Atlanta, in terms of places to hide, weapons to destroy walkers and enemies, worldviews and pre-apocalyptic political structures, etc., to give an exciting new feel and make you intrigued plus the same imagined clues, empathy, mystery and innovative gore to make you feel like (TWD) at home.
Overall I’m excited to watch this new series, I want to witness the virus we all carry spread elsewhere on the planet and I’m sure our hero will be just as badass in France
As a European, there were a few times it felt a bit clichéd and I was worried it might come across as cheesy/yankie-view-of-the-rest-the-world, but if they have and listen to the actors/writers/consultants/production from France, we hope he won’t turn to painting by numbers.
