Narrative
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack by greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a scheme to get revenge and shake up the industry. A collection of strange characters in terrible situations, trying to organize a robbery of maple syrup in order to save their financial problems. Ruth, whose husband is in a coma, has lost the right to sell maple syrup to a cartel run by Leonard.
He is the only guard for the entire supply of maple syrup
It seems that her husband owns the rights to harvest the syrup, so she was fined for illegally using his rights. Remy, a kind of sad character, is a security guard at the warehouse where all the syrup is stored, and at night he sneaks a barrel or two out of the warehouse together with a friend who is suddenly killed. Since Ruth got into financial difficulties, the only way out was to steal on a much larger scale, and she and Remy dragged Mike into this scheme.
The truth is completely different
Mike looks like a force capable of doing great things. And with all the personality clashes and confusion, it almost turns into a Keystone police scam. Every time they seem to have things under control, snags happen, and their approach to trying to solve them is a big part of the humor.
And a very interesting cameo appearance
The answer is that this leads to the second season, so there are many unresolved issues. And, as was clearly stated, this is not how the actual theft was committed. So this is a funny fictional story.
