Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, plays a game to seize the reins of Gotham’s underworld. Aside from the bat signal in the last shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameos in Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin to smoke in Batman (2022), but failed.

However, his own series portrays the character as an occasional tobacco user who prefers cigars. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.

I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I’ve never understood how you can take a skinny, good looking actor and give him massive prosthetics and a fat suit… especially when I think he looks like some of the other famous actors .
But I didn’t expect to like it so much
I also didn’t really understand why this spinoff was made, and to be honest, I’m sick of Batman reboots. But after episode 1, I will confirm that this show is awesome (so far). I watched it knowing only that it was a bridge between the first and second films and my surprising enjoyment of Farrell’s performance in the first.
The acting is great, the writing is great, and it surprised me with some quick twists
What I liked most was the fact that he had a lot more colors than Batman. I noticed this almost immediately because it was a huge complaint I had with the movie (it felt like I was watching it through a Zack Snyder lens). I hope it continues to be this good because I really can’t wait for the next episode.
