Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Wool" – the book has 82 chapters
Narrative
Men and women live in giant silos underground with few rules that they believe will protect them from the toxic and broken world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the stuff of science fiction. The fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction in various episodes, due to the orientation of the blades.
This way, air is neither pushed nor pulled
WatchMojo shows: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Binge (2023). The Wool Trilogy books are some of the best books I’ve ever read. I was very hesitant to watch The Silo because I had such a vivid internal vision of this post-apocalyptic world from the books and I didn’t want to ruin it.
I mean, there’s the foundation, the events, and the basics that made the books great
Plus, I’m halfway through season 1 and it’s not like the books in the best way! But most of the detailed plot is completely new and fleshed out and fills in the gaps of things that were hinted at or glossed over in the books. I’m glad I still kept the books separate in my mind, and the show is like a new fun version.
So much of it was just how I imagined it
I have to say, they did a PHENOMENAL job with the casting and the sets. But the differences set the book apart and I love it. This is probably the first time I’ve been happy that a show isn’t like the books, but I still really like it.
Super well done!
