credit for any film or screen production, especially American
Narrative
In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler finds herself in a high-profile job she’s ill-suited for, affecting her marriage and her political future. The producers convinced both American and amp; The British government allowed them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-recent American Embassy (Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, which is rarely granted. One inaccessible location was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador.

Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London outside of Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes. There’s a point in what I think was about the middle of Season 1 of the series where one of the subplots went in a slightly different direction than I expected, and that was fine. Otherwise, the dysfunctional relationships – both personal and professional – between the main characters somehow work, and I love it. The writers did a good job of keeping the action tightly focused.
Both the characters and the plot work
Of course, it’s not very believable, but it’s fun and sometimes stressful. "Madam Secretary" it is not so; it’s not "Veep" either. And that is a very good thing. It should also be mentioned that the acting and dialogues are also quite good.
Are they reliable?
The casting was well done. Again, no. But that’s good. Very quickly I realized that this was a fantasy, not a reality.
Please don’t worry
Netflix did a good job. I’m really looking forward to season 2.
